Ninan is the CEO of DT Next, a new English venture from the Daily Thanthi group. Previously he worked with Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd, publishers of The Times of India (World’s largest selling English newspaper), The Economic Times and a large number of other publications in various capacities in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Chennai markets for over 30 years.
He was Vice President when he retired from The Times of India group. While at The Times of India, he provided leadership for successful launches of TOI in Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai and Trichy. He also had a stint at Los Angeles Times in the US after his studies in the US.
Ninan is a graduate in Economics from Union Christian College in Kerala and has completed DSS at Rajagiri Institute of Social Sciences and MSW at Madras School of Social Work. He was a student at Jamanalal Bajaj Institute of Management in Mumbai and has completed his MBA programme at Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage, USA.
He has been a visiting faculty at various institutions such as: Vellore Institute of Technology, SRM Chennai, Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Times School of Marketing, Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad. PSG College Coimbatore, Bharati Dasan Institute of Management, Rajagiri Business School, SCMS Cochin etc. And Serves as a member of the board of Rajagiri Business School and Organic BPS, Kochi.
He also serves as Honorary Fellow at University of Strathclyde Engineering, Glasgow, UK. Represented the Times of India Group at many forums both in India and abroad, including Cannes Advertising Festival and World Retail Congress. He is nominated as co-chairman of the First Entertainment and Media Committee (EMC) of ASSOCHAM’s TN State chapter.
