The MBA + programme intends to focus on two dimensions, in addition to the normal MBA syllabus – namely Creativity & Innovation and Enterprise computing.
Course 1 : Creativity & Innovation
Creativity and Design Thinking
The most important task of any manager is problem solving. Problems do occur in all areas of any organization periodically. Creativity and Design course will provide a solution-based approach to solving problems. Creative problem-solving skills are established and improved through a variety of real-world activities. This course will focus on how creativity and design thinking processes can be employed to identify the opportunities that lead to innovation or to find the solutions for the problems faced. After completing this course, the students will able to generate new and better ideas to solve complex business problems through creativity and design thinking process, to use a variety of tools to help validate your ideas including improving the chances for impact and to build organizations that support creative and innovative thinking.
Innovation matters to everyone; including managers in small or large organizations, start-up entrepreneurs, those in government roles and teachers. Also, in this rapid changing world, organizations should adapt to the changing needs of the customers or society or environment. Innovation management combines the ideas and concepts of managing innovation processes and change management. Innovation management enables an organization to get hold of opportunity whether it is internal or external, and helps to leverage it so as to develop new ideas, processes or products. After completing this course, the students will develop the skills of mapping and understanding the innovation process, ensuring the best innovation outcomes, creating your own innovation strategy and developing new business models.
Business is all about value creation. Without value creation, the business is not a business at all. Value creation and business go hand in hand and value creation is the prime objective of all businesses. All it needs is the realization that value creation is important and a commitment to invest in people, processes and resources which are essential for a business to innovate and stay ahead of the competition. The significance of value creation is both to the organization and its stakeholders. This course will teach to rethink value propositions, identify unmet customer needs and restructure business models to add value.
Social entrepreneurs are inspired by the desire for social change through their business models. Prospective social entrepreneurs combine the idea of profit and business success to the welfare of the societies in the geographical areas where their organizations exist. This course will create a unique opportunity to focus on the business skills and models that make entrepreneurs to develop and build support among stakeholders and attract investors for the social enterprise. After completing this course students will learn the basic principles to start-up a social enterprise, to build leadership and organizational skills to manage a social enterprise, to use business tolls to empower communities to accomplish and realize the sustainable social impact and change.

Course 2: Enterprise Computing
AI is playing an increasingly important role in our lives whether we realize it or not. A student of MBA + on successful completion will have developed the skills and knowledge needed to manage the complexities that come from a more artificial intelligence driven world and explore how AI technology can be used to create revenue and generate business opportunities. With equal emphasis on theory and practical, these modules will teach the student to deal with real-world problems and come up with suitable AI solutions. With this credential in hand, it is safe to say that the student will have an upper hand at job interviews and other opportunities.
On completion of this course a MBA + student will get a thorough understanding of how the Blockchain Technology can be used as a solution to various problems being faced by industries. This is a comprehensive course which explains all the basics and fundamentals of blockchain in the simplest way. On completion of the course, the student will be able to understand the technology architecture, transactions and its mechanisms. MBA + graduate will be able to participate and contribute in the smart contracts in business. The student will have an oversight of materials, information and finances as they move from supplier to manufacturer to wholesaler to retailer to consumer. The main flows of the business chain being the product flow, process inflow, information flow and finance flow.
BThe MBA + students on completion of the course will have a fair grasp of business analytics and will be able to stand out from the competition. Courses are both practical and theoretical, and offer hands-on experience using software engineering and predictive modelling to solve business challenges.
On completion of this course, the MBA + student will possess the ability to identify the most appropriate technical tools and methodologies to solve any given business problem and exhibit the technical aptitude to use those tools to solve and foresee the business problems through a new normal business model.
Augmented Reality (AR) is the adding of digital content to what we see around us to augment our real-world view, often with a camera or smartphone. Virtual Reality (VR), on the other hand, is the use of devices—such as headsets with audio and video technology—to create a fully immersive experience. Mixed reality (MR) combines AR and VR technologies to create an experience where the real and digital worlds interact. Though this field is a highly technology driven, DCSMAT has proposed to introduce this to the students of MBA + in order to enable them to understand the direction in which the world is heading towards. The course gives an understanding of how we can simulate learning scenarios and interactions with people and places that are out of reach. Few examples of its application - use of VR for virtual field trips to help customers visit faraway and inaccessible places and industry people to reach environments such as plants and factories and experience the products or services before they actually invest in.
Cognitive computing is means of simulating human thought processes in a computerized model. Using self-learning algorithms that use data mining, pattern recognition and natural language processing, the computer can mimic the way the human brain works.
It is a known fact that though the computers are faster at calculations and processing than humans, they are not capable of simple tasks that humans can do. For example, understanding natural language or recognizing unique objects in an image. Cognitive computing aims to eventually replicate even these skills in computing. An application in healthcare will be the ability of computer to analyse patient history, journal articles, best practices, diagnostic tools etc., provide a recommendation.
The aim of this course id to give a broad understanding of this emerging technology and to enable the application of this technology in businesses.
