ABS is a programme designed to familiarise students with real world scenarios in business. Weekly ABS sessions are conducted within SOP groups where students make power point presentations, uploading them on Moodle on concluding a session The programme is scheduled by AIMC within the regular session schedule. Attendance and active participation is mandatory. Fines as applicable to regular academic sessions will be levied from the absentees.
Following are some of the topics that will be covered in ABS: –
(a) Food for thought.
(b) Biography of brand.
(c) Biography of a person.
(d) Sector analysis.
(e) Newspaper mapping and discussions based on featured articles.
(f) TED Talks based discussions.
(h) Role plays and management games.
(i) Mock press.
– Soft skills, including fine dining etiquette and placement training is conducted during the second year of the business studies program by external professional trainers, coordinated by the Placement Officer and aided by the Core Committee for placements. Before finalizing the external placement and soft skills training curriculum, a need analysis is done by the students. Whenever possible, demonstration classes are also conducted by trainers who are selected based on the feedback from students.
