Dr. Smitha B Nair has been passionately participating in a forward-thinking educational system with a greater scope for her involvement to the growth of students while also advancing her own learning and accomplishments. She is a recipient of Global Teacher Award in December 2020.

 She obtained her pre-degree(commerce), bachelor’s degrees (BCom and B.Ed- commerce) and master’s degree from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala and  Doctoral degree from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. She is also qualified with SET Lectureship conducted by the Government of Kerala.  

Dr. Smitha is highly renowned for teaching finance and accounting and has more than 19 years of teaching expertise. She has numerous publications published in ABDC, Scopus, UGC care-listed and peer reviewed journals and presented numerous papers in various National and International Conferences. She is an Editorial Board Member of Management Research Review Journal of St.Josephs College of Commerce(Autonomous), Bangalore. She also serves as BOE (Question paper setter) for Indian Academy Degree College (Autonomous), Maharani Ammanni College, Bangalore and PESIT University , Bangalore.
