The four-year honours program in Interior Architecture and Artistry is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University and is spread over 8 semesters, in the course of which students acquire an in-depth understanding of interior design theory and practices. Students will be eligible to get a degree certificate after completing three years of their studies.The curriculum expounds theories of art, architecture, and traditional hand skills before transitioning to contemporary art and interior design practices. The course additionally enables students to acquire a deep understanding of the theory and practice of interior design besides an acquaintance with advertising and graphic design, packaging and publication design.
The students are urged to work from concept development to various phases of production to project execution.

Eligibility: The applicant must have passed 12th standard/ any degree and written test & interview by the institution.
Internships: The students must undergo two internships during the program, one in a professional design studio and the other at an interior design firm for a duration of two weeks each.
The only institute in Kerala to provide fully-fledged in-campus workshop labs for Visual Arts- Lithography, Etching, Kiln, Pottery, Chithrashala, Hand-loom, and Carpentry, the B.A Interior Design course at our Vagamon campus inspires creativity and innovation. Offering spacious and well-equipped studios there are also unique opportunities to work with sculpting and painting masters. Students inclined to explore avenues in architectural design have the opportunity to network with the architectural faculty who teach many of the courses in the BA interior design program. The often yawning gap in terms of marketing skills that creative professionals require to surmount is filled with faculty from the management course streams teaching classes in marketing art and craft to students in this program.
Apart from the regular course workshops, students are encouraged to participate closely with eminent artists from various fields.
Kerala Mural Art Camp Conducted by Kerala Lalitha Kala Academy and South zone cultural center in association with DC School, Vagamon Campus. A 9-day workshop with more than 20 participating artists who produced Kerala Mural style of Paintings on canvas.
Atelier, A semester-ending show curated by BAVA20 Batch. The participants included students from BAVA19, BAVA20, and BAVA21 batches.
Terracotta Baking Demonstration, a master class on terracotta baking for BAVA21 and B-Arch21 students.

Under the expert guidance of Trainer: Art.Anil Dayanand and our skilled instructors, the participants explored various sculpting techniques, learning the art of transforming raw materials into awe-inspiring masterpieces. It was truly a sight to behold as each student poured their passion and dedication into their works of art. The Sculpture Workshop not only provided a platform for our students to express themselves artistically but also fostered collaboration and camaraderie among diverse academic backgrounds.
The CHERAI-OLAM initiative witnessed an extraordinary project led by students of architecture, who created a stunning public artwork along Cherai beach in Kerala, spanning 100 meters. Their exceptional skills and talent left a lasting impact, enhancing the beach’s beauty and infusing it with purpose. The academic exhibition at Kadalkkara resort allowed art enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the students’ creative brilliance, unveiling their design methodologies. This celebration of creativity showcased unparalleled academic experience and promises to be an unforgettable event, inviting others to witness the breathtaking masterpiece that emerged from this unique endeavor.
