The 2-year program is divided into 4 semesters with an average duration of 6 months each. The college is affiliated with APJ ABDUL KALAM Technological University (KTU).
The DCSMAT city campus in Trivandrum is located within the Infra Film and Television Park. Situated in a suburb, in close proximity to major industrial and infrastructural hubs in the city, the city campus is spread over 2.5 acres and contains spacious studios, state of the art library, an extensively equipped computer lab and a material museum. Academicians, professionals and domain specialists conduct the courses at DCSMAT, offering students an exhaustive and holistic education that is certain to be a bedrock in their professional careers. An entrepreneurship club serves as an incubation support cell, nurturing entrepreneurial ideas among students.

Radio DC is a non-commercial community radio administered by the DC School of Management and Technology Trivandrum (DCSMAT-TVM). It is the first private FM (frequency modulated) community radio station in Kerala. It is located in KINFRA Film and Video Park, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. It broadcasts at 90.4 MHz. All the operations in the radio station are owned and managed by the students of DCSMAT with support from the faculty.

The Student Ownership Programme (SOP)at our Trivandrum campus is a mentoring programme unique to DCSMAT. SOP helps students develop additional skills, besides excellence in the academic curriculum, required to be an effective manager. A team based approach helps in the personal and professional development. A member of the faculty is assigned a small group of students with the task of developing students’ soft skills, like reading, writing, vocabulary building and listening.
At DCSMAT Trivandrum, ‘Executive Presentation’ a program structured to improve a student’s communication and public speaking skills amidst audiences in groups. This program will enhance core in making corporate presentations among budding managers.
The Case Methodology model of teaching is characterised by in-depth analysis and discussions based on actual business scenarios and challenges. This dynamic pedagogical method offers a range of benefits that significantly enhance the learning experience for our students. It encourages our students to think critically and critically evaluate different viewpoints. This helps them recognize biases, assumptions, and logical fallacies, leading to well-rounded analyses.
The innovation hub at DCSMAT institutions is a dynamic space that actively fosters and supports a broad range of innovative concepts and ideas. One such initiative was the collaborative efforts of Visual Arts and Architecture students, who designed and produced high-quality clothing using an in-house loom, eventually making their way into the market.

The Newspaper Analysis Activity is an invaluable tool for DCSMAT Trivandrum students, providing them with a structured approach to dissecting and interpreting news articles. This activity offers numerous benefits that are particularly pertinent to their academic and professional development. Our students often grapple with the challenge of connecting theoretical concepts with real-world applications. Newspapers cover a wide array of economic and business-related topics. Engaging in this activity helps our students stay abreast of market trends, policy changes, and industry developments. This knowledge is invaluable for making informed business decisions. The Newspaper Analysis Activity bridges this gap by exposing them to current affairs, enabling them to apply their knowledge to real-time situations. DCSMAT Trivandrum is deeply entrenched in its association with the Trivandrum Management Association (TMA) and holds affiliation with the All India Management Association (AIMA), a preeminent body of professional managers dedicated to promoting excellence in management across India. TMA, established in 1985, boasts a membership of nearly 300 individuals, over 30 corporate entities, and nearly 300 students. TMA’s flagship events, the Annual Convention branded as TRIMA, and the esteemed Management Leadership Award, recognizing individuals demonstrating exceptional leadership in Management within Kerala State, stand as testament to their commitment to the field. The Trivandrum Management Association’s Student Chapter is a highly engaged and dynamic group, actively participating in numerous management events and competitions. This involvement not only refines their skills but also fortifies their professional network. Through these activities, students gain invaluable insights, elevate their knowledge, and nurture essential leadership qualities crucial in the competitive world of management.
DCSMAT Trivandrum students actively engage in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities as part of their commitment to creating a positive impact in society and uniquely branded as “AHAM”. These initiatives demonstrate a strong sense of social responsibility and a desire to contribute meaningfully beyond the classroom. Our students participate in various community engagement activities, including volunteering at local NGOs, organizing health camps, and conducting educational workshops. These efforts aim to address pressing social issues and uplift underprivileged communities. DCSMAT Trivandrum students initiate health and wellness programs, such as organizing health camps, blood donation drives, and awareness campaigns on prevalent health issues.
