INTERNAL COMPLAINTS


DCSMAT has an Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) which is working for internal complaints resolving. It is a crucial component of an organization’s efforts to promote a safe, secured and respectful workplace environment. The ICC is instrumental in creating a safe and inclusive workplace where employees can work without fear of harassment or discrimination.

Objectives and functions of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

  • To address complaints related to sexual harassment, discrimination, or workplace misconduct.

  • Ensure the utmost confidentiality during the complaint handling process to protect privacy and dignity.

  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into complaints.

  • Provide recommendations for appropriate actions or sanctions after investigation to address the issue and prevent recurrence

  • Educate employees about their rights and responsibilities, fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding workplace harassment and discrimination.

  • Maintain records of complaints, investigations, and actions taken for accountability and transparency.

  • Periodically report activities and findings to senior management to help improve the workplace environment.

  • There should be minimum 4 meetings in an academic year each per quarter and meetings can be conducted on need basis.

  • The coordinator must prepare the meeting minutes along with geo tagged photos and present the report duly signed by every member to the IQAC within 15 days of the meeting

  • Soft copy of the above should be handed over to the IQAC and Hard copy must be maintained by the committee head
