An accomplished artist, Anil Dayanand, is an alumnus of the College of Fine Arts in both New Delhi and Trivandrum, where he completed his master’s and bachelor’s degrees. Since beginning his artistic journey as an illustrator for prominent national newspapers, he has always been captivated by his nation’s rich history, heritage, and politics.His artistic repertoire encompasses a wide range of mediums, from traditional painting, drawing, and sculpture to cutting-edge multimedia installations. An unceasing passion for academic art has driven him to delve into various mediums, including paper and bronze. An ardent researcher, he remains deeply engaged in the global academic art scene.An innate inclination towards teaching has led him to inspire students through practical skill-based learning, empowering them with confidence and nurturing their artistic thinking. His teaching tenure spans distinguished institutions such as NIFT, New Delhi, IICD, Jaipur, and the College of Fine Arts, New Delhi.Acknowledging his remarkable contributions, the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, honored him with the esteemed Senior Fellowship in Creative Sculpture in 2010. Further adding to his accolades, he was bestowed with the State Annual Award 2023 from Kerala State Lalithakala Akademi in the field of Performance Art.Beyond his teaching and awards, Anil’s creative spirit shines through major exhibitions and captivating performance art across India’s major cities. His art not only reflects his deep-rooted artistic integrity but also his unwavering commitment to enriching the artistic landscape.
