Scholarship

At the heart of the DC Kizhakemuri Foundation lies the enduring vision of our beacon and guiding light,  Late Shri DC Kizhakemuri, writer, activist, freedom-fighter, publisher and recipient of Padma Bhushan, who believed that quality education is the cornerstone of a progressive society. His lifelong dedication to the promotion of literacy continues to guide our mission of empowering students through access to education.

Extending his vision into the present day, the Foundation provides scholarships to deserving students from diverse social and economic backgrounds. Through these initiatives, students have pursued professional programs such as MBA, BBA, B.Arch, BCA, and B.Des at the DCSMAT campuses, achieving outstanding academic results and securing placements with leading corporate organizations.

In line with the Late Shri DC Kizhakemuri’s commitment to inclusivity and excellence, scholarships are awarded to:

  • Meritorious, economically, and socially disadvantaged students.
  • Students under the Kerala Government’s Nirbhaya scheme and children of ASHA Health Workers.
  • Students from Tibetan Resettlement Colonieschildren of Sri Lankan expatriates, and students from the North-Eastern states of India.

Building on this legacy, the Foundation has launched new scholarship initiatives, including the Dr. M.H. Mari Gowda Scholarship for MBA and B.Arch students, and Merit Scholarships for those scoring above 90% in Plus Two examinations in the BBA and BCA programs. Additionally, Special Tuition Waivers are offered to single-parent studentsgirlsdisaster-affected candidates, and children of retired or serving Defence, Central Para-Military, and Kerala Police personnel.

The value of these scholarships ranges from 25% to 100% of tuition fees, reflecting the Foundation’s steadfast commitment to creating opportunities and fostering excellence in higher education.
