The Outbound Training at DCSMAt, Vagamon is an enriching and exhilarating experience that offers much more than just outdoor activities. From Campus to Corporate - Recent Placements

DCSMAT, Vagamon’s fully residential campus fosters student development, resulting in impressive placement outcomes. The 2021 MBA batch of 140 emerging leaders has seen 105 students already placed, 18 pursuing other opportunities, and ongoing efforts to secure placements for the remaining 16. Additionally, all students have been working and earning salaries, demonstrating their effectiveness as groomed leaders. DCSMAT, Vagamon is confident in surpassing its placement records with the 2022 batch in 2024.

The Placement Committee at DCSMAT Institutions believes in the philosophy, “Minds without blinkers, management without boundaries.” The committee constantly provides opportunities for students to learn from elite corporate and social leaders. Our campus offers students chances to interact with and learn from individuals, in different industries. Esteemed personalities like Shashi Tharoor, Gopi Kallayil, Nanditha Das, Nick UT and N R Narayana Murthy have visited the Vagamon campus providing opportunities for our students to engage meaningfully. Gateway to Corporate World

Our intensive corporate engagement program, which spans over a day aims to offer aspiring managers a transformative experience. It provides an opportunity for them to connect and interact with individuals, from industries. This program not focuses on acquiring knowledge but also prioritizes the establishment of relationships. Participants get the opportunity to form connections, with executives, which leads to valuable mentorship prospects and potential collaborations.

Fine Dining Sessions

An Integral part of the placement training is Fine Dining in Premium hotels, where the students are taught about dining etiquettes which is of great priority in today’s world. In our placement training, we prioritize the teaching of dining etiquettes, a crucial skill in today’s professional world. Our program ensures students gain confidence and professionalism, setting them apart in their careers. Success isn’t just about what you know; it’s also how you present yourself.

Unique Features of the Campus

With its unique offers, the DCSMAT Vagamon campus distinguishes out in the field of management education. The organization supports a Student Ownership Program that promotes independence and responsibility, as well as Management Development Programs (MDPs) that cultivate leadership abilities. Sharing of information is facilitated via evening talks, and internships and guest lecturers are made possible by strong industry ties. Research projects are supported by a Research Consulting Cell, and creative and innovative thinking is encouraged via an Innovation/Creative Hub. Additionally, student health is a priority at monthly medical camps. A thorough and industry-aligned educational experience is offered by DCSMAT Vagamon.

Student Ownership (SOP)

Student Ownership Programme (SOP) is a mentoring programme unique to DCSMAT, SOP helps students develop additional skills required for a manager. A team based approach, helps in the personal and professional development. A member of the faculty is assigned a small group of students with the task of developing students’ soft skills, like reading, writing, vocabulary building and listening.

Evening Presentation (EP)

At DCSMAT Vagamon, there is a regular soft skill development program called the Evening Presentation, or EP. Its main objectives include improving communication, public speaking, and presentation abilities as well as overcoming stage fright. Additionally, EP focuses on increasing student leadership, enhancing general awareness and boosting confidence through audience participation

IEDC &amp ICFOSS Cells

Operating under the Kerala Startup Mission – IEDC initiative, DCSMAT has an internal entrepreneurial development program as well as an innovation and entrepreneurship development cell. This cell, which has already been established, actively nurtures student ideas. A FOSS cell also encourages the use of free and open-source technologies for data analysis in conjunction with ICFOSS.

Innovation/Creative Hub

The innovation hub at DCSMAT institutions is a dynamic space that actively fosters and supports a range of activities, including the creation of clothing right on campus. This unique initiative involves the collaborative efforts of Visual Arts and Architecture students, who design and produce high-quality clothing using an in-house loom. These innovative creations eventually make their way into the market.

IIC Cell - Industry Interface and Research Consulting Cell

At DCSMAT Vagamon, there is a regular soft skill development program called the Evening Presentation, or EP. Its main objectives include improving communication, public speaking, and presentation abilities as well as overcoming stage fright. Additionally, EP focuses on increasing student leadership and analytical skills, enhancing general awareness, boosting confidence through audience participation, and improving microphone handling.

TMA (Trivandrum management Association) Students chapter

The Trivandrum Management Association’s Student Chapter is a highly engaged and dynamic group, consistently participating in a multitude of events and competitions within the management fraternity. Their active involvement not only hones their skills but also strengthens their professional network. By taking part in these activities, students gain valuable insights, enhance their knowledge, and cultivate the leadership qualities needed in the competitive world of management.

Timely held Medical and Health Camps

Annually, DCSMAT collaborates with the DC Kizhakemuri Foundation to host free Mega Medical Camps. This commendable initiative offers free medicines, eye check-ups, cancer awareness programs, and blood donation camps, all made possible by a dedicated team of medical professionals. This joint effort reflects a commitment to community well-being, providing vital healthcare services and promoting health awareness in the memory of DC Kizhakemuri.
