Dr. V Smitha

Dr. V Smitha is an accomplished educator specializing in Human Resources Management, Employee Engagement, Organizational Behavior, and HR Analytics. She holds a Ph.D. in Management from Kerala University (2021), with doctoral research focused on Employee Engagement frameworks among IT professionals. Her academic credentials include an M.Phil. in Management, UGC NET qualified twice in 2011 & 2012, and an MBA with dual specialization in Human Resource Management and Marketing.  Currently pursuing an MA in Organizational and Industrial Psychology from IGNOU, and HR Analytics from IIM Kozhikode. She demonstrates unwavering commitment to continuous professional excellence. She maintains active engagement in funded research projects at IIM Ahmedabad. She has published extensively in journals including IEEE Xplore, International Journal of Environmental Sciences, Journal of Industrial Engineering, and Empirical Economics Letters, with research interests encompassing AI integration in HR practices, remote work dynamics, and sustainable leadership.

Recognized for her teaching excellence, Dr. Smitha has earned prestigious certifications from premier institutions, including the Faculty Development Program in Pedagogy and Research Methods from IIM Ahmedabad and Harvard Business Publishing Case Teaching certification, which strengthened her innovative, case-based pedagogical approaches. As a Life Member of NIPM and ISTD, she actively contributes to the academic community through research supervision, curriculum development, and mentoring. Beyond academia, her leadership extends through her role as Coordinator of the THRIVE Project (Tribal Higher Education and Interactive Ventures for Excellence) under the Kerala Government Initiative, demonstrating her commitment to social responsibility and holistic student development.
