Assistant Professor
Stenisla Merlin Shaji is an Architect and Urban Planner with a strong passion for continuous learning and exploration. She holds a Master’s degree in Planning (Housing) from the College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Sathyabama University, Chennai.
She has gained professional experience working with renowned firms across the UAE, Chennai, and Kerala, where she contributed to several prestigious architectural and planning projects. Currently, she has been serving as an Assistant Professor at DCSAAD for the past two years. Her specialised subjects include Site Planning, Art Appreciation, Human Settlement Planning, and Housing, where she demonstrates strong knowledge and academic commitment. She views teaching as an art, one that she continues to refine each day through experience, reflection, and a dedication to her students’ growth. Her academic and research interests focus on developing vibrant and inclusive public spaces that promote social interaction, community engagement, and cultural expression within urban environments. Beyond her architectural pursuits, she is an enthusiastic Uno player.
