For those students who intends to get admitted into postgraduate management programs like Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) courses, the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala is conducting Kerala Management Aptitude Test (KMAT). Through qualifying this test, the aspiring students will be able to pursue their management education in various business schools wide Kerala. Generally, these exams are conducted twice during February and May respectively, every year.

KMAT – An Overview

KMAT is usually conducted twice in a year enabling all the aspiring students to make use of the opportunity. The test intends to evaluate the candidates’ aptitude against key areas such as quantitative ability, verbal reasoning, and logical thinking, the skills which are important to evolve successful in Business Management programs.

The test is conducted by the Entrance Commissionerate Kerala. It is accepted as standard by management institutions, affiliated to various universities and educational bodies across Kerala.

Eligibility to appear:
  • A Bachelor’s degree to be possessed by the intended candidates, awarded by a recognized university / those who appearing final year exams of degree (any subject)
  • Marks – An aggregate minimum mark 50% (reserved categories – 45%)

KMAT Kerala Exam Pattern

The test is a multiple-choice question (MCQ)-based.

The questions are distributed among four major topics

  • – Quantitative Aptitude.
  • – English Language Usage and Reading Comprehension.
  • – General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
  • – Data Sufficiency and Logical Reasoning.

 

  1. Quantitative Aptitude – 50 questions in this section. Questions based on quantitative analysis.
  2. English Language– 50 questions which deals with different aspects of English language.
  3. Data Sufficiency and Logical Reasoning – 40 questions based on topics of logical reasoning.
  4. General Knowledge and Current Affairs – 40 questions on various topics

 

Mark Allotment:

The number of total questions is 180.The candidate gets 4 marks for each correct answer. Negative marking, usually -1 mark per wrong answer is there.

Application for KMAT 2025 will be available on the official website of CEE Kerala. Those candidates who wish to appear for the exam can fill the form online and submit. No option of filling the form offline.
